EE1-ILABC EIE1 Computing Lab

Lecturer(s): Dr Max Cattafi

Aims:

The first year computing laboratories in the Autumn term support both Dr Pitt's lecture course, EE1-7 Software Engineering 1: Introduction to Computing and Dr Clarke's lecture course, EE1=9 Introduction to Computer Architecture.

Most of the laboratory time will be spent on consolidating understanding of the EE1-7 course which is outlined on the EEE1 syllabus entry i.e. EE1-LABC E1 Computing Lab.

The E1.9 coursework will involve ARM assembly language programming which can also be developed during the computing laboratories. Coursework will be submitted via the VLE for marking. There will be an end-of-year examination for this course.

In the Spring term as well as continuing with the EE1-7 activities the ISE stream will follow VLE-based activities to support Dr Bouganis's lecture course, EE1-8 Software Engineering 1: Algorithms and data structures. The E1.8 coursework will involve procedural C++ programming. Coursework will be submitted via the VLE for marking. There will be an end-of-year examination for this course.
