Summary of Personal Activities: Maria Tomas-Rodriguez was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1974. She is working as Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Control and Power Group.
After graduating as Bsc. Physics and majoring in automatic Calculus in 1998 at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) she worked as Software Analyst for a private company for two years.
She obtained her Msc. Control Systems Eng. in 2001 and PhD in Control Systems in 2005 at The Sheffield University. During 2002 she collaborated with the Space Research Group at The Sheffield University and during 2003-2005 she worked in the area of control of Nonlinear Systems and Repetitve Control as Research Associate.
Currently she is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the area of control and stability of dynamical systems. Her research interests include stability and control of helicopters, two-wheeled road vehicles, dynamic system modelling and control.
Also she is currently pursuing further Mphil studies at the Aeronautics department at Imperial College in the field of Rotorcraft dynamics.
