Summary of Personal Activities:
Dr Demiris's research areas include: Robot-Human Interaction; developmental robotics; biologically-inspired robotics; computer vision; computational modelling of human brain perceptual and motor mechanisms with the goal of understanding the interplay between the mechanisms of action production and perception, and their pathologies; applications of such brain models to robotics and robot learning with the goal of developing robots that can operate and learn in a social, dynamically-changing environment; development of simulation and robotic tools that will facilitate such research.
