Summary of Personal Activities:
Dr Clarke's research interest is the specification and synthesis of converters that interface hardware protocols. More generally he sees hardware protocols as a level of abstraction that is comprehensible by designers and also precise enough to allow use of efficient automatic synthesis techniques: He is interested in developing synthesis techniques of real use in integrating existing IP.
