For now, yes you have to get a smartphone. If you send us an e-mail with your queries we will be able to help you choose one that is suitable for you. In the near future, however, we also plan to expand our services to allow users to use a watch instead of a smartphone.
Each user pays an annual fee of £250.
Coracare is suitable for anyone with a heart condition. The silicon slab is small and lightweight, very easy to put on. It is not cumbersome at all so you can go on with your daily activities as normal. The only maintenance involved is changing the battery once a month which can easily be done during a TV advert.
The battery lasts about a month if you use non-rechargeable ones and lasts around two weeks if you have decided to use our rechargeable batteries.
The batteries in the CX50 are coin cell batteries and the name is etched on them. They are either the rechargeable GP320BVH or the non-rechargeable CR2477.
Unfortunately, for the time being we only provide services in the UK. However, we hope to expand our services worldwide in the future.
Please install Adobe Flash to view them.
We aim to release our product in the UK market within the next two years.
Yes, your doctor will be able to customize the algorithms that analyse your ECG scans to best suit your condition.
Coracare provides its users with a simple and efficient way to track their ECG scans history. Your doctor will also have access to these records. Please login to view them.
Those at risk of a heart attack may be advised by their doctors to wear the CX50 ECG patch.
Coracare provides the CX50 ECG patch that monitors the user; the data collection, secure transmission and storage in a Coracare server; and the data-user interface provided on this website.
The Coracare service increases the chance of survival of a heart attack and reduces the time spent in hospital which is beneficial to the user, user’s loved ones, health care provider and (indirectly) the economy.
You will need to email Sebastian Grubb - sebastian.grubb10@imperial.ac.uk with your Coracare user name and email.
