Capture of lightning is a difficult subject, and ultimately is likely to be a downfall of any system we design. We decided towards the beginning of the project  to exclude capture from the scope of our discussions.

Therefore, we have presumed that the capture process will be 100% efficient when discussing safety concerns, and extremely inefficient when discussing energy yield etc.

It is obvious to us that some sort of lightning rod atop a tall structure would be required, and the impracticality of this in poorer communities is not lost on us.
